1Corinthians 15:49-52

Just as we have lived in these flesh bodies, when Christ returns [unless we die a flesh death first], we shall upon the death of the flesh or Christ return, whichever happens first, bear the spiritual body also.

1Cr 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

We must be in a spiritual body to make it to heaven. The only way we can do that is to die a flesh death and our soul return to God who gave it, as noted in Ecclesiastes 12:6-7, or when Christ returns at the 7th / last trump and all flesh is changed instantly.

1Cr 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

We shall not all die a flesh death before Christ returns. Some will only change to the spiritual body when Christ returns.

1Cr 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 

This verse here in no way supports an any moment doctrine if it is read correctly. This verse is telling us that at the last trump the furthest one out; that we shall change from flesh to spiritual for this is when Christ shall return. Revelation chapters 8-11 cover all 7 trumps and NOWHERE in any trump besides the 7th/ last one did God mention Christ returning. God did not forget anything; man has just tried to stick things in where it does not belong.

This “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye” is describing how fast the change from flesh to spiritual will take. But note that it is only AT the last trump that this change shall happen. The above verses as well as this study on 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 will prove beyond any shadow of a doubt that the rapture theory just does not hold water.

That is why in Ezekiel 13:17-20 below God said this speaking of the rapture theory being the pillows that many teach to cover the true word of God:

Eze 13:17 Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

Eze 13:18 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the [women] that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive [that come] unto you?

Eze 13:19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear [your] lies?

Eze 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make [them] fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, [even] the souls that ye hunt to make [them] fly. 

1Cr 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
