Matthew 7:15 through 7:27

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

God is warning us here of pastors who claim to be Christians and teachers of God's word but what they teach goes contrary to God's word. A wolf tries to kill the sheep and so likewise God is warning us of those false pastors whom God has not called, but rather they have chosen themselves to be pastors, that teach Satan’s lies and traditions of men that kill God's children spiritually to the truth of God's word. Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 13 speak of these false pastors and how they choose themselves to be pastors but how God did not choose them to teach. A gift must be given by God and any gift given by God will magnify God's word and align with God's word or else they are lying to you, as noted in Isaiah 8:20.

Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

God is telling us here in these 3 verses how to test our teachers. We God's children are symbolic of the trees mentioned here. Just as a grape vine doesn't bring forth thorns, then likewise neither can a false pastor bring forth God's word, only those chosen by God to teach, seed plant, etc etc. will bring forth God's word as it is written. These verses along with Isaiah 8:20, 2Timothy 2:15-18 and 1John 4:1 all tell us that we are not to just take our pastor's word for something, but that we are to study for ourselves and check ALL men out in God's word to see if they are a good pastor chosen by God that is teaching God's word or a false pastor not chosen by God that is teaching Satan’s lies and traditions of men that goes contrary to God's word. So always study God's word for yourself and test those teachers.

Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

On judgment day all those who have allowed themselves to be deceived by satan and choose to listen to the false Christ instead of the true Christ shall end up in the lake of fire UNLESS they wake up to the truth of God's word when taught in the millennium, as noted in Revelation 20.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Not every person that says calls on the name of the Lord and claims to be a Christian and teacher of God's word will enter into heaven, for not all are teachers or students of God's word, for some would rather listen to traditions of men rather than allowing God's word to speak for itself.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

You see you best test your teachers for Christ is going to tell some when he returns he never knew them, because they taught traditions of men and taught people to worship the false Christ, by teaching them to fly away which God states in Ezekiel 13:20, that he is against the fly away doctrine. You see the antichrist is coming claiming to be Christ to deceive all those who have not studied into worshipping him as God. God tells us in numerous places that the antichrist shall come first before the return of the true Christ, as noted in Ezekiel 13:20, Matthew 24, Mark 13, 2Thessalonians 2 and Revelation chapters 8-11.

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Jesus Christ the Living Word is the foundation that our spiritual house/soul better be founded upon or else we could loose our soul in hell if we take man's opinions and Satan’s lies over God's word. God himself is the word and God's word is forever, as noted in St. John 1:1-14, Psalms 119:89-96 and Hebrews 13:8, so always listen to God's word and take God's word over man's and you won't have to worry about loosing your soul in hell for it is on a solid foundation that cannot be moved, however any lies and man's opinions that does not align with God's word shall come crumbling down and shown up for what they are when Christ returns, as noted in Ezekiel 13.

Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Some who have based their eternal soul on man's traditions are in for a shock and a rude awakening when Christ returns for the truth will reign supreme and all of man's traditions will come crumbling down for the lie they are and have always been. So study God's word and put your eternal life on the true Rock Jesus Christ the Living Word and allow no man to deceive you.
