III. Shem (dusky or olive colored) Arabic and Jewish peoples (I use the word "Jew" here with caution because those calling themselves "Jews'" or NOT actually Jews.) We will see the direct descendants of Shem all throughout the Bible, so I didn't list them. You will also notice there are only TWO types of people mentioned in scripture (Jews and Gentiles). Remember that we started out with 3 groups of people in Gen. 10 but we ended up with 2 in the New Testament. Why is that?
