The Unforgivable Sin
This is a question many people often ask. Is what is the unforgivable sin? And have I committed it? The answer to that question will be answered in this study. We will see that no one has committed that unforgivable sin yet, and that only the elect can be put in the position to commit that unforgivable sin. Many try to say it is divorce. I think not. Many say this ignorantly because they want to make people who have been through divorce feel less in God's eyes. Shame on them and their ignorance of God's word.
While divorce is a sin, it is not the unforgivable sin and upon sincere repentance is blotted out as if it never happened. Take for instance the woman Christ spoke to in St. John 4:16-42 who had had 5 husbands and a man staying with her at the present time. God used this woman to convert many to Him, as noted in St. John 4:16-42.
So we see Christ used divorced people. Most do not even realize that God Himself is a divorcee also, as noted in Jeremiah 3:1-11, especially verse 8 in that chapter.
Lets look at Matthew 5:31-32 and take a close look at Christ words on divorce.
Matthew 5:31-32
Mat 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
Mat 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
This word fornication in the Greek means harlotry (including adultery and incest) as well as to act the harlot or indulge in unlawful lust of either sex. This word saving here means except.
It isn't even a sin to divorce and isn't considered adultery if your mate is playing the harlot and sleeping around with others behind your back.
This lets us know it is a sin under some circumstances, but does not call it the unforgivable sin. Who are you going to believe? Man or God's word?
With that being said we are going to go to Luke 12:1-12 and take an indepth look at this unforgivable sin.
Luke 12:1-12
Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Hypocrisy is the Strong's Concordance Greek word #5272 and means acting under a feigned part or deceit. This leaven of the Pharisees, isn't bread, but their doctrine they teach that goes contrary to God's word, as noted in Matthew 16:6-12, where it states:
Mat 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Mat 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, [It is] because we have taken no bread.
Mat 16:8 [Which] when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
Mat 16:9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
Mat 16:10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
Mat 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake [it] not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
Mat 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade [them] not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
Christ is warning us of false doctrine here. So naturally this verse here is referring to the fact that all these false teachings these fakes have taught will be shown up for the lie it is. God has some teaching His word today that share God's word which shows the fakes up for what they are and points out the false doctrine that man passes off as God's word, but is not. One of which is the rapture theory.
Luke 12:3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
God's children share the knowledge God has given them as they quietly study on their own to learn for themselves, as well as to share it with others in need. Do not hide God's word, but be willing to share it with someone in need if they ask you a question.
Luke 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
We are not to fear those that can kill our flesh body, but fear God who can destroy both our body and soul in hell, as also noted in Matthew 10:28
We should not fear teaching God's word and try to hide it. God can protect us.
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
Speaking of God who can kill your soul in hell, as noted in Matthew 10:28.
Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
God even takes care of even the sparrows and we are of more value to Him than they and are able to share His word.
Luke 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.
God knows everything about us. Even how many hairs are on our head and states we are of more value to Him than the sparrows whom he protects.
God is telling us all this to prepare us for a time in the near future when Satan himself [antichrist] will be cast out to play Christ and pretend he is Christ to cause as many as have not studied indepth to worship him as Christ, as noted in 2 Thessalonians 2, Mark 13, Matthew 24 and Revelation chapters 8-11. God does not want us to bow to this one, but wait for the return of the true Christ which takes place at the last / 7th trump and not before. This is also to prepare us now for the fact that not all people will readily accept God's word and not to let it make us afraid or cause us to stray from God's word if people do not accept it or mock us for sticking with God's word.
Luke 12:8 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
God wants us to not hide His word but to share it with people now and also when the elect are delivered up for a testimony against this false one when he is cast out playing Christ He wants them to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them, as noted in Mark 13:9-13 below. For you will see from the following verses Luke 12:9 to 12:12 that we are speaking of that time when the Holy Spirit shall speak through God's elect, which is when they are delivered up before antichrist for a testimony against him.
Here is a LINKto the study the truth about the rapture theory, which covers Mark 13. Especially Read verses 1-13 for it speaks of the signs of the end times and when the elect are delivered up for a testimony against Satan.
Luke 12:9 But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
God wants everyone to not be ashamed or afraid to share His word. Now as well as when some of the elect are delivered up before Satan when he is playing Christ for the Holy Spirit to speak through them and show Satan up for the fake he is.
Luke 12:10 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
God overlooks those who speak a word against Christ, but not the elect who know the false one comes first "IF" they deny the Holy Spirit the chance to speak through them and intentionally worships Satan as Christ. Only the elect will have the opportunity to commit this unforgivable sin, for the rest were blinded to the truth of God's word and will fall for Satan and worship him as Christ, so they won't be the ones testifying against Satan.
The following two verses in this study will nail down the time period in which one can deny the Holy Spirit the chance to speak through them and align that time period with that of Mark 13:9-13.
Luke 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and [unto] magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
Same as what Mark 13:9-13 speaks of. This is when the elect are delivered up for their testimony or to allow the Holy Spirit to speak through them. They are not to premeditate what they shall say, for it is not they that speak, but the Holy Spirit that speaks through them, as noted in Mark 13:11.
Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
For it is the Holy Spirit that will be speaking through these elect, as noted in Mark 13:11 below.
Mark 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought before hand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost [Holy Spirit].
This happens during the antichrist reign just before the return of the true Christ, as noted in Mark 13, for all those signs listed in Mark 13 are what shall happen just prior to the true Christ return. God is warning us that some [Elect] shall be delivered up. Chances are if you have eyes to see the false one comes first, that you could be one of those delivered up. We don't have to fear though for God is with us and God has power over Satan and Satan isn't going to be killing people [except for the two witnesses of Revelation 11 which happens 3 days before Christ returns at the end of Satan’s reign], for he is playing Christ.
So never let anyone try and tell you that you or anybody else has committed the unforgivable sin, for that can only happen if you are one of God's elect and if you deny the Holy Spirit to speak through you when delivered up before Satan’s little synagogue
